The Falcons Academy was founded in 2004

The Academy was founded by a group of enthusiastic parents, these parents raised the funding and entered into the unknown, they gambled their livelihood on this, they found the building and bought the equipment and then introduced gymnasts, obviously there own children were involved  and mostly still are. The academy has grown hugely from its original size which is from nothing else, than hard work and commitment. Without them there would have been no local academy for such a prestigious sport, they recruited gymnast form North Devon and now boast some of the countries finest athletes. They have various champions who train at the academy and have some very new young talented gymnasts who with the coaching available can progress to a very high level in the sport.

The Falcons have over 450 gymnasts of all ages and sex and continues to grow, the sport is also growing and after the recent Bronze medal win by Great Britain's Louis Smith, and the good form by ladies Becky Downie & Beth Tweddle. All the gymnasts are training harder than ever and all areseeking to emulate the above athletes.
